You belong here - Oneness & Origin are core
In the journey of mindful living, Oneness and Origin—two interconnected ideas invite us to remember where we come from and recognise our place within the larger whole, how we fit in, how we make sense of our purpose, our contribution. It might sound cliche or bla bla and we dismiss the importance of oneness and particularly origin. I did for a while, however the question and desire to know, to understand will return. It is like a magnet, gravity pull towards that because both are essential to create your mindful life that is build on love, compassion, curiosity and all the things we already touched on and will continue to touch on.
Mindfulness isn’t just about being present in the moment; it’s about being aware of the web of connection that runs through all things—our stories, the Earth, our bodies, the breath, and one another. Tapping into Oneness and Origin means grounding ourselves in belonging, truth, and deeper presence.
Oneness: We Are Not Separate
Oneness is the awareness that we are not isolated. Every thought, action, and emotion ripples out into the world. Mindfulness opens us up to the understanding that we are all connected—to each other, to nature, and to the universe.
Mindful Practice:
Nature Noticing
Spend 5–10 minutes outside observing the natural world. Watch a tree, the wind in the grass, the flow of water or clouds. Let yourself feel part of the environment, not separate from it. As you breathe, say to yourself:
“I am of the Earth, not just on it.”
Let that truth settle into your nervous system.
Origin: Remembering Who You Really Are
Origin invites us to reconnect with our roots—not just culturally or biologically, but spiritually and existentially. It asks:
Who was I before the world told me who to be?
Mindfulness helps peel back the layers of conditioning, performance, and survival to rediscover your authentic self.
Mindful Practice:
Sit with Your Younger Self
Close your eyes. Picture yourself as a child—5, 8, or even 12 years old. What did you love? What were you curious about? What did you know to be true before doubt crept in?
Ask that inner child:
“What do you want me to remember today?”
Let the answer arise without judgment.
Coaching Question for Reflection:
“In what areas of my life am I acting from separation instead of connection—and how would it feel to shift toward oneness?”
Take 10 minutes to journal your answer. Explore:
When do you feel most disconnected—from others, yourself, the world?
What practices bring you back to yourself?
How would decisions change if made from a place of interconnectedness?
Practical Tips for Living Oneness & Origin Daily:
Begin each day with gratitude to your lineage—those who came before you, whether ancestral, spiritual, or personal.
Replace “I have to” with “I get to” to reframe your relationship with life.
Spend less time in comparison and more time in compassion.
Notice when your ego wants to “separate” and choose presence instead.
Read stories or poetry from other cultures to expand your sense of shared humanity.
Final Thought:
When we live from the awareness of Oneness and Origin, we step into a grounded, connected, and awakened life. We remember that we are not alone, and we are not lost—we are part of something vast, sacred, and meaningful.
